SOLUTIONS DELIVERED: Custom Web Application Development (Object Oriented PHP with an Oracle 11g Database)

The executive team at SmoothMeeting.com had an idea for a unique, consumer-based web conferencing system to address the shortcomings of current offerings like WebEX, GoToMeeting, and others. They partnered with the applications team at 2Surge to implement THEIR one-of-a-kind brand of web conferencing.
Our design approach to this application focused on Scalability, Performance, and Component Integration. In addition to the app itself, we also embedded a full web collaboration tool available at DimDim.com as well as the telephony switch which managed the Call Definition Records (CDRs) and physical call connection and routing.

The final implementation is a robust 3-tier Object Oriented PHP application that can scale from 1 to 100+ servers by seperating the User Interface, Business Logic, and Database tiers.
